San Diego-based rock band Wavves has released a new track, “Nodding Off” from their upcoming EP, Life Sux. The EP from Ghost Ramp is set to hit stores on September 20.
The song features contributions from the surf pop, lo-fi group Best Coast, whose lead singer/songwriter Bethany Consentino is currently dating Wavves’ lead vocalist, Nathan Williams.
Another track from the EP, “Destroy,” includes contributions from Toronto-based hardcore rockers, Fucked Up.
Life Sux was produced at Infrasonic Sound in L.A., and will be available digitally and on vinyl and CD. The EP will be sold exclusively at independent record stores.
William also said, via Twitter, that he would like to include a video for each song, so stay tuned for releases from the audio/visual department.
“These are the best song I’ve ever recorded. Easily,” said Williams on Twitter.
Keep an eye open for Life Sux in indie stores on September 20.
