American rock band Bowling for Soup have teamed up with pianist Scott Simons for the album set A Nice Night For An Evening, Volumes 1 and 2, a collection of the band’s tracks stripped down into piano arrangements. This upcoming project will host hit singles such as “Almost,” “High School Never Ends,” “1985” and “Girl All The Bad Guys Want” along with sseveral fan favorites like “Life After Lisa,” “Hey Diane,” “Two Seater.” The band have debuted a comedic trailer for the upcoming project below and all of the songs are available on streaming services.
“This is an idea I have had forever. But one that I just didn’t know how to make happen. I mean, who would buy this, right?!?!” band member Jaret Reddick stated in a press release. “All the BFS songs, easy listening style…and you can listen at work, in the nursery, or even at your wedding?!?! Ok..I would buy that! So I did! And now it is a reality for everyone to stream, buy, or whatever they are doing to get music these days! Two albums at once! Go get your chill on!”
The band originated in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1994, and are noted for their take on pop punk style. The band consists of Reddick (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Burney (guitar, backing vocals), Gary Wiseman (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Rob Felicetti (bass, backing vocals, acoustic guitar). In addition to their album and own releases, the band have also composed the theme songs for a couple of beloved children’s shows such as The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and Phineas and Ferb.
