Indie singer-songwriter Angel Olsen teamed up with Mark Ronson during a performance of the song “True Blue,” a collaboration the performer made with the producer earlier this year. This performance took place during one of Olsen’s three Brooklyn Steel shows, which took place on Friday, November 22nd.
Ronson performed bass on the disco inspired song, while Olsen began performing Keys during the song’s introduction, before eventually taking up the guitar for the rest of the song. Olsen is currently touring across the United States in support of her recent album All Mirrors, which also debuted earlier this year.
Ronson uploaded a picture of their performance on his Instagram with the caption: Living out boyhood dreams… on stage with Angel f***ing Olsen last night.” Olsen will be touring next year as well, and has recently unveiled a set of Spring 2020 tour dates.

Olsen’s recent album release builds off her 2016 album My Woman, and pushed the boundaries of her songwriting level, along with its nostalgic blend of guitar sounds.
“All Mirrors covers a lot of ground, much of it new to Olsen and all of it excellent. There are no weak songs. Retracing the steps and sounds of My Woman, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, or an amalgamation of the two would have been a far safer path to a great album,” mxdwn reviewer Willie Witten explains. “Fortunately, Olsen has the chops and the chutzpah to aim a little higher and deliver an even better result.”
