Announced about six hours ago via his twitter account, The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has offered 2 twenty second teasers from a potentially six hour song being recorded by the band.  Though no official word has come from the band about it’s arrangement; given The Flaming Lips avant approach to music, especially of late, expect this to release eventually.

It’s been an ambitiously busy 2011 for The Flaming Lips; from collaborations with Death Cab For Cutie, Black Moth Super Rainbow, and Lightning Bolt, along with releasing new material in USB drives uncased within gummy skulls, the band has steamed through a vigorous wave of writing and recording.
