Ticket vendor and concert promoter Live Nation appear to be teasing an upcoming performance for The Original Misfits in a new teaser video released yesterday. This video features the band’s song “Static Age,” the Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty and the Misfits skull logo along with the “12.14.19” date indicating that a performance by the band will likely take place at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, mid-December.

The band originally reunited as The Original Misfits back in 2016, when they were announced as the headliners for Riot Fest. This lineup consists of the band’s original members Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, along with drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Acey Slade.
Earlier this year however it was revealed that these shows were part of a settlement between Danzig and Only, after years of litigation over the trademarks and profits of the band. Last month Danzig stated that there were no shows planned after their Madison Square Garden show last month, which seemed to follow his earlier statements stating that their won’t be “many more,” shows for the group.
As Danzig explained:
“Well, I don’t tour anymore anyway. Maybe I’ll put together like a week or two shows here on the West Coast, or maybe on the East Coast and that’s it. With the Misfits thing, we just kinda got back together and just decided we’d do it here or there, and just not make it a grind kinda tour. We just want to make each event special. We’re not gonna do many more. I know we just announced Seattle and Denver, but I’m pretty sure there’s not gonna be many more of them.”
The Original Misfits have performed in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, California, New York City, Chicago, and in Las Vegas as part of Psycho Vegas during the past year.
