Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have announced they are releasing three original LPs for the upcoming HBO series Watchmen. The albums were created along with the show’s writers and have already received much critical acclaim. The three LPs are now available for pre-order via Amazon. Volume 1 will see a November 4 release, Volume 2 on November 25 and Volume 3 on December 16. Digital and in-store vinyl for each volume will be available shortly after their respected release dates. Reznor and Ross have composed numerous amount of scores together with most being scores to films directed by David Fincher. Films include Fincher’s Gone Girl with Ben Affleck, Netflix’s record-breaking film Bird Box with Sandra Bullock and most recently the Jonah Hill directed Mid90s. Along with scoring Watchmen, the duo will then team up for the score of Disney Pixar’s upcoming film Soul. The film is set for a summer 2020 release and will feature the voice of Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey.
They received their first Oscar and Golden Globe win for their score for The Social Network with Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake. Both also won a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for the American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara and also directed by Fincher.
