In early June Radiohead unveiled plans to release a series of remixed tracks off their latest album, The King of Limbs, on 12” vinyl and in digital format.  However, in a surprise gesture by the band announced today, once all the remixes have been released in those formats a compilation CD will be mastered and released as well.

Although release details are still in development, with a tentative early release set for Japan, the CD compilation will feature more than the vinyl remixes from The King of Limbs.

Printed as a 2 disc set, the remix compilation entitled TKOL RMX, will house the previously released remixes on the first disc with unreleased remixes filling out the second.

For those who wish to own a hard copy of these remixes without purchasing the vinyl copies, Radiohead plans to release the compilation CD on Sept. 16 in Japan with the worldwide release following three weeks later.
