Better known as one half of the ‘Brechtian punk cabaret’ The Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer has taken her solo efforts to benefit a worthy cause.
The track titled “In My Mind” is part of a compilation whose proceeds will benefit the David Lynch Foundation, a non profit organization backed by the vanguard director that teaches Transcendental Meditation to inner city youth, veterans, and the homeless (of course). The compilation that will feature Iggy Pop, Neon Trees, Arrested Development and Tom Waits is titled Download For Good, and you can listen and download Amanda’s new track here (via LAweekly).
