After directing videos for Bay Area rappers like Lil B, Oakland rap icon Kreayshawn has moved on to direct a new music video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Kreayshawn made waves earlier this year when people debated over her authenticity after her video for “Gucci Gucci” when viral and she signed a contract with Columbia Records.
Now, the young rapper is making music news again as she puts her film experience to the test with her work with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
According to MTV, Kreayshawn will direct the video for “The Adventure of Rain Dance Maggie”,the first single from the Chili Pepper’s upcoming album I’m With You, which is set to be released August 30 on Warner Bros.
Also to come later this summer is a tour from Kreayshawn herself. The short U.S tour will feature an appearance at Philly’s Popped! Festival as well as headlining dates in other major cities.
