The lead singer of the rock band The Mars Volta Cedric-Bixler Zavala has been fired up and active on social media platforms throughout the month of May. He publicly questioned singer and record producer Beck asking if he stands with the alleged survivors of Danny Masterson. Additionally Zavala accused the Church of Scientology of systematically covering up multiple rapes, including the alleged rape of his wife Chrissie Carnell Bixler. Most recently, Zavala accused the Church of Scientology of vandalizing his property and of murdering his dog.

Much of this situation began when Chrissie Carnell Bixler came forward and claimed that Danny Masterson, a member of the Church of Scientology, raped her. Her accusation followed that of three other women. Bixler stated that the Church of Scientology aided in covering up multiple rapes within the church and claimed that the church also harassed her and her family when she went public with the accusation. Zavala, in his social media posts, has expressed support for his wife and that he believes the Church of Scientology has continued to harass him and his wife. His accusations led to Masterson being kicked off the Netflix show “The Ranch.” Zavala has been publicly calling out many people associated with the Church of Scientology over social media. This includes the singer songwriter Beck, who is a member of and grew up in the Church of Scientology. See Zavala’s tweet to Beck below:

Additionally, Zavala has tweeted at many other people associated with the Church of Scientology and thought by Zavala to be covering up rapes.
