“Cellophane” written and produced by English singer FKA Twigs, released as a new single on April via Young Turks. The singer/dancer previously experienced health complication that forced her to have a music hiatus during the recent three years. FKA Twigs now is back to the music scene with a beautiful and emotional music act, “Cellophane”.
Earlier this May, Twigs sold out live shows in Los Angeles’ Palace Theatre and New York’s Park Avenue Armory, where she debuted several new songs in those two weekend shows. In “Cellophane” performance, Twigs showcased her outstanding pole dance which she self-taught herself in order to bring the vision to life.
Twigs also channeled her first ever live piano performance at “Cellophane, Live At The Wallace Collection.” The live version directed by Twigs which contrasts with Andrew Thomas Huang, who originally directed “Cellophane” official video. The new music video was shot at The Wallace Collection in London.
Twigs shared, “To perform cellophane at the Wallace Collection is a dream come true – This is my love letter to the artifacts and paintings held within its walls and to one of my favorite designers Vivienne Westwood whose portrait collection was inspired by these pieces. It was an emotional experience to perform in that magical place, and to be wearing these beautiful clothes I’ve spent years collecting.”
FKA Twigs’ “AVANTgarden issue 5” now is available on digital Instagram. Check out “Cellophane, Live At The Wallace Collection” below.
