Brazilian electronic musician Amon Tobin, under the alias Two Fingers, has released new single “You Ain’t Down.” This single comes shortly after the release of Fear in a Hnadful of Dust, an album that Tobin debuted in April, eight years following his last solo venture with the album ISAM. Tobin is a renowned artist, with eleven major studio albums and features in movie soundtracks such as The Italian Job and 21.
Tobin’s newest release, “You Ain’t Down” is the first peek at his upcoming album, of which a name and release date have not yet been announced. The song fits right in with the rest of the tracks from Two Fingers, which, according to his most recent press release, is a pseudonym he uses as an “outlit for…[his] more bass driven and club-oriented music.” Tobin’s new track epitomizes his sound as Two Fingers, as he “appears to stride effortlessly between commercial appeal and uncompromised brutality.”
As for the future of Two Fingers, Tobin is keeping his ideas under wraps, as he and his fans are riding on the high of Fear in a Handful of Dust and “You Ain’t Down,” making appearances in European clubs, where his music is especially popular.
