Lost Evenings Festival, an award-winning event created by Frank Turner, will be held at Boston’s House of Blues on May 16th – 19th. After two years overseas, Turner has decided to bring the epic event to America. Turner is a punk and folk singer-songwriter who introduced the world to the festival back in 2016, in London, UK.
For the third-straight year, Turner will be headlining four shows in total; the first will be a solo acoustic on opening night with singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III, Jenny Owen Youngs, and Hayley Thompson-King all accompanying on the Main Stage. On the following day, Turner and the Sleeping Souls will perform his entire third album Poetry Of The Deed, in celebration of its 10th anniversary, with The Hold Steady, Cory Branan and The Architects in support. On May 18th, the band will gift the fans with the recent Be More Kind World Tour set, supported by John K. Samson, AJJ and War On Women. The festival will conclude with an electrifying Greatest Hits night with help from Against Me!, Skinny Lister and Trapper Schoepp.
Turner has hand-selected all musicians who will be performing at the festival. Micah Schnabel, Jinty McGrath, Paul Luc, and Amanda Rose Riley will all be performing on opening might May, 16th. They will be followed up by The Penske File, The Typical Johnsons, Kayleigh Goldsworthy and Owen McMahon on Friday, May 17th. On the two-day Xtra Mile Recordings Family and Friends night, Rebuilder, Rob Moir, Ryan Van Slooten, and Seán Tobin will be performing along with Jon Snodgrass, Koo Koo Kangaroo, who will be joining Johnny Lloyd.
Not only will there be musical performances but there will also be a variety of panels and workshops that will be taking place in the Foundation Room, within the House Of Blues venue. A list of activities and performances is listed below.
