Rock bands Stone Template Pilots and Rival Sons have announced their first ever co-headlining U.S. tour, set to begin this fall. Produced by Live Nation, fans can witness the groups travel on an exclusive 12-city outing beginning in September.
Officially beginning on Sept 13th in Baltimore, the Pilots and Sons will perform on intimate stages during the entirety of the tour. Other notable venues where the groups will perform are The Met Philadelphia, Ford Amphitheater in New York City, The Fillmore New Orleans and more, before finishing the tour on October 9th in San Diego.
Dean DeLeo of STP says, “We are thrilled about this tour and grateful to share these upcoming shows with Rival Sons. A great band! They don’t make them like this anymore. Looking forward to seeing all of you!”
According to MXDWN.com, a new face will be among the Pilots band with the addition of vocalist Jeff Gutt. Gutt is considered to be somewhat similar to Scott Weiland. He mixes well with some of their earlier music and helps steer the band into a new direction going forward.
The tour is expected to be unforgettable as both bands are considered to be two of the best live bands in music today.
“We’re delighted to share the stage with the DeLeo brothers and STP! Not to mention performing together in some really great venues,” says Scott Holiday of Rival Sons. “These guys wrote some of the (soundtracks) to my childhood…and it’ll be killer to watch and listen to ‘em hit these gems every night!”
