Last year, it was reported that AC/DC is working on a new album which features work from their late rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young on “every track.” A source close to the band revealed that Angus and Young lived together at one point and wrote hundreds of songs. The source said, “Angus has decided to select the best tracks from those recordings that Malcolm played on and is now back in the studio recording and mixing them with fellow band mates Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and yes, Brian Johnson on vocals.”
In the past few years, Johnson has joined Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers onstage, jammed with Mick Fleetwood in Hawaii and performed ‘Back in Black’ with Muse. Riding on a resurgence in popularity, AC/DC has continued to tour for their loyal fan base. However Rudd was removed from the band for the second time, the same year of Young’s death, after receiving extensive criminal charges including attempting to procure a murder and possession of methamphetamine.
