I Emeli Sandé, the British singer is releasing a new album, Real Life on June 7th. She has won four BRIT awards and will continue to break even more ceilings. Long Live The Angels, her last full length album came out in 2016. The new album explores self-realization and personal self-doubt. Sandé wants her new album to speak to everyone and give people confidence. Emeli shares, “Especially people who have been marginalized, forgotten or kicked down by this invisible oppression that’s always there”.
The 11-tracks are all written by Sandé and were recorded with Salaam Remi and James Poyser. Troy Miller produced every track as well. Her new single “Sparrow” is a hit and is an emotional ballad that can speak to anyone. Her new song “Sparrow” is the first single since 2017 when she released, Kingdom Coming. In the video, you see strong women who stand is solidarity. Her album is a collection of songs that are truly inspirational and make you want to see along with her. The first song on the record, “Human” deals with vulnerability and the reality of life.
