Although the Gummy Song Skulls are sold out, The Flaming Lips continue to add additional flavors into the mix, the latest of which has a lemon flavored skull with a marijuana flavored brain. These Gummy Song Skulls contain a USB drive with four new Flaming Lips songs.
Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips personally drove and sold the first ten Gummy Song Skulls at Guestroom Records in Oklahoma City, Okla. Delivered to the store at 4:20 p.m. on April 20; he only arrived with five, leading Coyne to drive back home to get more after they quickly sold out.
The Gummy Song Skulls have also been sold via The Flaming Lips web site. Though the skulls are temporarily sold out via the web, the online purchases before the sell out began shipping today.
According to Psych Explorations of the Future Heart, Coyne has told fans that the marijuana flavored brain will encase a full album release. The tentative, Soft Gummy Live Bulletin Skull, is suspected to release in conjunction with the June 14-15 “two nights, one morning” show at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, reported Psych Explorations of the Future Heart.
Coyne has also released two videos via the YouTube account, Change Yr LIfe OKC, one of which shows a marijuana enthusiast, Jake, confirming the marijuana flavor of the new brain, while the other features a Neurosurgeon removing the USB drive from another skull.
The USB drives contain the following new songs:
Drug Chart
In Our Bodies, Out Of Our Heads
Walk With Me
Hillary’s Time Machine Machine
