After releasing “Get Dark” and EP “The Missing Man” last year, Blaqk Audio, formed by current AFI’s Davey Havok and Jade Puget who signed with Interscope Records, kept hustle. They brewed the fruit in winter and now share their goods with the fans this Spring.
As one of the tracks in the American electronic music duo’s 4th album following 2007’s Cexcells, 2012’s Bright Black Heaven and 2016’s Material, Only Things We Love will drop via Kobalt Records on March 15 this week. New song “Caroline In The Clip” continually maintains their dark electronic pop style, aka synthpop, which was exploded in the late ’90s and early 2000s, but also does a little fun in the talents’ canvas. Lyrics to “Caroline” represent the feelings they genuinely emerge in deep mind and the true belief of “My Caroline, We’re a hit (We’re a hit), We’re meant for this (You’re meant for this).” Click your “Caroline In The Clip” below.
In addition, the talents uploaded the newest music video for pulsating dance song “The Viles”. The album’s first single “The Viles” was released in January this year, which is the best representative of Blaqk Audio’s musical genre according to Havok’s interview with Billboard. Indeed, the digital video further expresses the electronically weirdy, futuristic and dark side of the sonic music itself. The shot entirely in black and white, is simple: There are no dramatic or over-the-top costumes, only stage performers are getting ready and preparing for the stages. But the veil emotions are everywhere. The video completes the idea of the song.
