Alice in Chains have released music videos from their Rainier Fog album for the mysterious and suspenseful 90-minute sci-fi film. directed by filmmaker, Adam Mason. Each video is set to a different song from the album. Eric Michael Cole, Paul Sloan and Viktoriya Dov star in the film.
The story of the film is about Alpha (played by “Green Book” actor Paul Sloan) and his 21 year old daughter, Beta (Viktoriya Dov) and how the two rob and steal from the men the girl seduces, taking whatever they can find. Dark and sinister, the videos show Alpha trying to build an antenna in a desperate attempt to find a way to get a message to their people back home. Meanwhile there are unspeakably dark forces who have discovered their existence.
“Black Antenna” was directed by Mason, written by Paul Sloan and Adam Mason and produced by Elizabeth Mason and Nick Vallelonga, who recently won two Oscars (“Best Original Screenplay”) and (“Best Picture”) for “Green Book” (Vallelonga also has a cameo in episode one of “Black Antenna,” “The One You Know.”)
Black Antenna also stars Darri Ingolfsson (Dexter) as Nil, Lily Robinson as Malum, Eric Michael Cole (Gia, White Squall, Hangman), Mike Hatton (Green Book), Luke Shelton, Jerry Raines, and Daniel Louis Rivas. Special make up effects are by Autonomous FX (“Blade Runner 2049,” “Bright,” “Mindhunter,” “Maze Runner”). Jason Collins is an executive producer along with Alice In Chains.
UPDATE (5/2): Alice in Chains has released several new episodes of their show Black Antenna. The latest episode, the sixth in the series, is NSFW.
UPDATE (5/26):
Alice in Chains just released their seventh episode, “Maybe” of “Black Antenna,” available now from their album, Rainier Fog. The video is powerful as Beta meets a new friend on the street while taking a stroll. The two hangout and play video games while Alpha steps into the apartment of an aging woman who is sobbing and reminiscing of a holocaust in times past. Alpha is brought to tears as he feels tremendous compassion for the woman. Later the boy’s mother tells Alpha to not allow the girl to visit her son again.
In addition to this thrilling collaboration, Alice In Chains will be touring with Korn this summer.
