It’s that time, SXSW is coming to an end, people are tired from running from venue to venue all week, you may be dehyrdated from taking advantage of all the oben bars you may have come across, and you’re ready to call it for the week and get home. But that’s after one more party that everyone is trying to cram into, and it’s the Rachael Ray’s Feedback concert. For those of you who are familiar with Rachael Ray’s Feedback, then you know the drill, wake up as early as you can and get in line so you can be one of first guests to get in on the good vibes.
Now for the ones who are unaware of Rachel Ray’s Feedback, cook and television personality Rachael Ray partners with Stubbs Bar-B-Q to present two stages of live music, usually free food, and free drinks (and when I mean drinks, open bar which means it is a 21 and over event.) It’s widely known if you’re able to gain entrance to Feedback, then you are pretty much set for the day because along with the food and drinks, Rachel Ray brings along with her some of the best and upcoming musicians and chart topping artists that every attendee knows.
This year Rachael Ray will be bringing with her indie pop band Bleachers. After touring non-stop for about a year and half behind his debut album Strange Desire and building a fan base, frontman Jack Antonoff went back home on the east coast and created an album that he wanted. Releasing Gone Now in 2017, Bleachers has mastered the sound of pop with an influence of the 80’s and dance genre. After possibly a long day, Bleachers will bring a stress relieving vibe to Feedback.
One half of the notorious duo Outkast and one of the centre figures of the group Dungeon Family, Big Boi will take over Feedback. Although most people would tie Big Boi success to Outkast he has built a collection of successful solo tracks. Being rumored to having a renuion tour with Dungeon Family, Big Boi seems to be shaping up a busy 2019 with a few slots penciled in at SXSW and ending at Feedback.
These two great musicians will entertain the crowd along with others scheduled for Feedback. Rachael Ray always brings a variety of music that appeals to everyone that comes to her Feedback party and this year is no different.
Rachel Ray’s Feedback Saturday March 16th at Stubb’s Bar-B-Q ( 801 Red River St. )
Bottom line Rachael Ray Feeback is guaranteed a good time because of the great music, good food, free drinks and most of all it’s free. With that being said it’s highly I repeat highly recommended that you arrive early to be line.
