One of the legendary rockabilly bands Stray Cats are releasing their new album 40 after 40 years. Marking their 40th-anniversary celebration, the band will be on the road this year for their first U.S. shows in a decade.
Produced by Peter Collins (Rush, Bon Jovi, The Brian Setzer Orchestra) and engineered by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Arctic Monkeys), 40 will be released via Surfdog Records. The lead single “Cat Fight (Over a Dog Like Me)” teased for the full-length-album which will be released in March. Watch it below:
For those who are unfamiliar to this iconic rock group, the rock and roll band had initial success in the New York music scene and stabilized their indelible status in the early 80s. It’s known that the band acted as a turning force that changed old-fashioned rockabilly into a sensation during the height of synthesized new wave. The band is well known for its hits like “Rock This Town,” “Stray Cat Strut,” and “(She’s) Sexy and 17”.
The upcoming tour covers European areas and the US. The tour will start at Azkena Rock Festival in Vitoria, Spain on June 20, then will map out the UK, France, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden. In August, the tour will visit the US, starting from East Coast New Jersey and wrapping up in West Coast California. Please check out the detailed dates and venues down below.
