Memorial Day weekend looks promising for 2019. Illinois’ annual Summer Camp Music Festival has announced it’s 2019 lineup, providing the funky grooves fist pumps, and good vibes. The three-day music festival will include three separate sets from moe. and Umphrey’s McGee, as well as Zed’s Dead, Big Gigantic, Rebelution, and Gramatik. Other acts on the bill include Rebelution, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, Black Star, Trampled by Turtles, and Toots and the Maytals. The summer camp will commence May 24th-26th at the Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL with passes being available here. See the full lineup below.
Since launching in 2001, the festival has massively increased its popularity. In its first year, only 15 bands over two stages were listed on the bill. In present time, it accommodates over 100 artists on seven stages throughout the weekend, making one of the most sought out festivals to attend in the Midwest. The love for this festival has grown so large that it now includes a Thursday Pre-Party show. It even triples the population of the small city of Chillicothe, impacting local businesses tremendously. It has hosted big named acts, with 2018’s lineup featuring Diplo, Cypress Hill, RL Grime, Cherub, Tokimonsta, and Soja. Previous lineups have included Run the Jewels, The Roots, Waka Flocka, The Infamous Stringdusters, STS9, and Excision.
