Michigan singer Quinn XCII finally broke some good news last week after teasing a series of old home videos. The artist announced both his sophomore album From Michigan With Love, and a headlining world tour in support of the project. The album is expected in early 2019, and although the release date is unknown, the date of his stop in Philly is. He is slated to be at The Fillmore on February 21st of the new year. It is just the second North American show, following a short stint in Europe. The tour itself begins on February 3rd, so it would be reasonable to expect the album release to be before then.
Quinn has come a long way in the past few years since he started recording music while a student at Michigan State University. After garnering heavy college popularity in his home state, Quinn’s debut mixtape Change of Scenery first put him onto the national spotlight back in 2015. His early success got him a deal with Columbia records, with whom he released his first album before switching over to Visionary Music Group. So far Quinn has dropped two singles from his upcoming album, “Werewolf” and “Sad Still”. Quinn has stated that in From Michigan With Love he will explore and express much more heavy topics than in his previous works. If these two singles are any indication, we are in store for a special one from the young artist both with the upcoming album and the tour as well.
