The Revivalists announced a set of tour dates for early 2019 in support of their upcoming fourth studio album, Take Good Care, which is set to drop November 9 via Loma Vista Recordings. The first leg of the tour kicks off on January 11 in Washington D.C. and culminates at New York City’s Beacon Theatre for January 16 and 17 after hitting a few cities including Philadelphia and Boston. The second leg of the tour starts March 8 in Madison, Wisconsin and finishes April 6 in Key West, Florida. Currently, the band is about to play a set in their native New Orleans for the city’s Voodoo Music and Arts Experience festival. The band has released two singles off the new album, one titled “All My Friends” which peaked at number one on Billboard’s Adult Alternative chart and the second titled “You And I.”
The Revivalists, despite being sometimes deemed an “overnight sensation” due to their 2016 single “Wish I Knew You,” have been a favorite of the alt-rock scene for over ten years. “Wish I Knew You” hit number one on the Billboard Adult Alternative chart in 2016, number one on the Alternative Songs chart in 2017, and reached certified platinum in 2018. The Revivalists are an entourage featuring eight members, resembling part of a jam sesh when on stage and infecting the crowd with their lively energy. The band enters a new period of growth in their fourth studio album, not taking a break after the global success of their last single. “Take Good Care is brimming with sonic complexity, celebration, and catharsis. Sometimes raising more questions than answers, it is a reflection of the up-and-down journey of life that we’re all on together,” said a press release of the latest album. Take Good Care is now available for pre-order here, and tickets are now on sale for their upcoming tour.
