St. Vincent will perform at the esteemed BAM Harvey Theater in Brooklyn this November in an intimate performance featuring herself on vocals with just a pianist, Thomas Bartlett. The show follows her recent performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live which took place in Brooklyn as she performed songs from MassEducation accompanied only by the piano. She also performed the same piano set at the Belasco in Los Angeles to rave reviews. “It was a concert as powerful, rocking, compelling and strident as anything she’s ever done,” said American Songwriter in a review of the show. St. Vincent has released a handful of intimate piano performances after her newest album, MassEducation, dropped on October 12. The album features chillingly stunning piano covers of songs from her 2017 release, MASSEDUCATION, which was the musician’s sixth studio album.
St. Vincent, the moniker of Annie Clark, is known for her intricate and compelling songwriting and musical composition, quickly rising to nothing short of an idol due to her intoxicating stage presence and powerful rock star aura. She’s a groundbreaking performer, becoming the first solo female artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album in 20 years with her 2014 release St. Vincent and also debuted at number 10 on Billboard 200 with MASSEDUCATION. Her first full length album, Marry Me, dropped in 2007 to much critic appraise while her following albums continued to win over both critics and fans alike. St. Vincent holds nothing back in both her recordings and live performances, baring herself to her audience while putting on truly artistic and daring shows, toying with realism and avant-garde and always keeping audiences on their toes.
