Icelandic experimental darling Bjork recently unveiled plans for Biophilia, an upcoming residency in June and July at the Manchester International Festival. Featuring new tracks, invented instruments and companion apps in a music/multimedia-centric live show, Biophilia will take place at Manchester’s Campfield Market Hall.
Bjork will be performing tracks from her upcoming album, Biophilia, to audiences of around 1800 people at her first UK dates in over three years. The dates are spread across three weeks—six shows—and will be held in the striking space of the Campfield Market Hall.
The project reportedly explores the meeting point of music, nature and technology through the use of live music, internet technology, apps, art installations and shows.
