In anticipation of his upcoming fall tour, Tom Morello has added a second intimate New York City show, taking place on October 1 at Le Poisson Rouge, preceding his October 2 show at the venue. The added gig will now kick off “The Atlas Underground Experience” tour which includes stops in Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles. Morello will be touring in support of his upcoming solo album, The Atlas Underground, which drops October 12 via Mom + Pop Music. The show will be no ordinary show as Morello will play the album in its entirety, allowing fans an exclusive listening to the album before it releases. The night will also include live guitar demonstrations from the legendary guitarist in addition to insights about the creation of the album and could include guest appearances given the album’s highly collaborative nature.
Taking a break from Prophets of Rage, Tom Morello has been working on his incredible solo album as of late. Each track on the album will feature contributing artists, Morello collaborating with a wide variety of musicians including Bassnectar, Big Boi, Portugal. The Man, Killer Mike, Steve Aoki and many more. Three singles are now available for streaming leading up to the album’s release, “We Don’t Need You,” “Battle Sirens,” and “Rabbit’s Revenge.” While cementing his music fame through Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, Morello’s status as one of the greatest guitarists of all time (coming in at number 40 on Rolling Stone’s list of 100) has made him a force to be reckoned with. He has continually sought new avenues for his music over the years, from touring with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to joining the rap rock collective Prophets of Rage to performing songs of political activism through his folk project The Nightwatchman. Morello’s energy is ceaseless, his decade-spanning career fortifying him as one of the most influential musicians and guitarists in the world.
Fans of Morello or any of his projects will not want to miss this intimate night of music. Tickets are on sale now.
