(Sandy) Alex G has announced a new batch of tour dates for November with Half Waif throughout North America. The tour is in continued support of his 2017 acclaimed Rocket, which he promoted throughout the summer at festivals including Boston Calling, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Primavera Sound. He also wrapped up touring with Fleet Foxes and Dr. Dog earlier in the year, following the release of his newest single, “Fay,” which dropped in January. Alex G will also wrap up a UK tour before his November tour kicks off in Toronto, including a stint at End of the Road Festival in Salisbury, UK. A month after his final November show, Alex G will play Brooklyn’s Warsaw venue on December 14 with support from Duster. The show is Duster’s first announced live show since teasing working on new music in over 18 years. Cited as an influence for Alex G, Duster will be an exciting addition to the show, fans eager to see what the band will deliver after a long period of time filled with new music exploration from members.
(Sandy) Alex G, the moniker of Pennsylvania-bred singer, songwriter, and guitarist Alex Giannascoli, broke out onto the scene while attending Temple University in Philadelphia. His self-produced demos caught the attention of Elvis Depressedly’s Mat Cothran, prompting Alex G to eventually sign to indie label Orchid Tapes and later, Domino Records. His impressive lo-fi sounds and alluring guitar melodies have led him to be featured on two Frank Ocean albums, in addition to his own four self-released albums and three albums released through his labels. His latest release, Rocket, reached number 23 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. All his albums so far have been home recorded, lending themselves to Alex G’s earnest nature in his lyricism and style. He’s an act not to be missed live, his most recent stint in New York City occurred with his headlining performance at the Coney Island Music Festival. Catch him as he makes his way to the city again this December at Warsaw, tickets available now.
