For those that could not snag a ticket to one of Joan Baez’s upcoming tour, they are in luck! Baez has extended her “Fare There Well…” Tour into 2019 with an additional North American leg. The new leg will start April 10th in Birmingham, AL and will hit other cities including Atlanta, Dallas, St. Louis, and a third-night in New York before concluding with two shows in Port Chester, NY. The new shows follow her previously announced tour dates, set to begin September 11th at the State Theatre in Ithaca, New York. See the full itinerary below.
The tour is in support of her latest album, Whistle Down The Wind, her first album in ten years released earlier this year. It received much critical acclaim with Rolling Stone listing as one of the “50 Best Albums of 2018 so far and Billboard saying, “She’s at least leaving us with something special to remember her by with Whistle. Produced by Joe Henry, the record features a mix of songs…that look back warmly on the past and graciously on the present.”
