It has been quite a year for Kanye West both musically and publicly. Having just released his new full-length album ye, one would think the rapper and producer might want a break. Hardly, it seems. Over the last few months, West has released his own new album as well as albums with Kid Cudi, Pusha-T, Nas, and Teyana Taylor.
Now, according to Pitchfork, Chancelor Bennett (aka Chance the Rapper) has revealed in an interview that he will be working with Kanye West and Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) on his forthcoming album. When discussing the album on the interview, Bennett says that they have 6 songs possibly finished so far. However, he also says the album will have “more than 14 songs,” so it may be awhile before any music surfaces on the internet. West’s latest album, ye, was his eighth to reach No. 1 across the charts and it most likely won’t be the last.
West began his career as a music producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, working with the likes of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. Gunning for his hip-hop career, West released his debut The College Dropout in 2004, founding the label GOOD Music shortly after.
