Cut Worms is a band that just keeps building momentum, releasing a promising EP and a single over the last few months. They’ll also be playing shows with King Tuff later this year and will make a stop at SXSW 2018.
Today Cut Worms, the nom de guerre for Brooklynite Max Clarke, has even more news with the announcement of a debut LP to be released on May 4 on Jagjaguwar. The record will be called Hollow Ground and it was produced by Jason Finkel and Jonathan Rado of Foxygen. We also know that there is a new single to accompany the new record announcement, titled “Don’t Want To Say Goodbye.” The song’s video is a hand-drawn accompaniment to the wistful, jangling pop song. Despite its retro influences, Cut Worms as always has a bit of a timelessness to his songwriting. The animation on the video is done by John Andrews, check it out below.
Hollow Ground Tracklist:
1. How It Can Be
2. Coward’s Confidence
3. Don’t Want To Say Good-bye
