Wolf Alice released one of the best albums of 2017 with their sophomore album Visions of a Life. Now the British band is set to embark on an extensive tour of the United States, including several dates opening for Queens of the Stone Age. The tour begins in California in March and scheduled to wrap up in early June at Governors Ball in New York City.
The album was littered with stand-out songs, including singles like “Beautifully Unconventional,” “Don’t Delete the Kisses” and “Yuk Foo.” Visions of a Life was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, the man behind albums from Paramore, Jimmy Eat World, Beck and more. The album ended up debuting at #2 on the UK charts, the second straight time Wolf Alice has had an album debut at that position.
Wolf Alice is formed by core members Ellie Roswell (guitarist/singer) and Joff Oddie (guitarist/singer) as an acoustic project. Not long after the band evolved into what it is today, a group that is not afraid to delve into a wide variety of styles, from standard indie rock to psychedelic-influenced shoegaze to attitude-driven riot grrl punk. Today Oddie and Roswell are joined by Theo Ellis (bass) and Joel Amey (drums/singer) — a lineup that has been together since 2012. In addition to their debut LP My Love Is Cool, the band set the stage by releasing a pair of EPs, 2013’s Blush and 2014’s Creature Songs.
