METZ is punk-rock trio from Toronto, Canada. The band formed in 2008. METZ consists of Alex Edkins on vocals and guitar, Chris Slorach on bass and Hayden Menzies on drums. The group is currently signed to two record labels: Sub Pop Records and Royal Mountain Records.

Though the band formed in 2008, they did not release their debut album until 2012. Overall, they have released three albums and several singles. METZ’s third album Strange Peace will just released on September 22 via Sub Pop. With the band being just a trio, they have a loud powerful noise.
