Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden has announced a solo album Cavedweller, due on September 22. Along with this, the artist has released a new song “Time Can’t Wait”, which is a part of the upcoming album.
According to Rolling Stone, the artist said “I brought a 4-track cassette recorder and kind of plugged into the local music scene using that name. There were a lot of dudes and ladies recording their own music and putting it out on compilations and stuff.” For three decades, he was occupied with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but in early 2016, he decided to release songs under his own name because he got to a point where he felt good abut them.
The artist had explained that the vocals of the songs were difficult, because there was a slight unsure mood due to his work with Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder. He did play some of it to Cornell before Cornell passed away. As of yet, there are no plans for him to promote the album through tours.
According to Alternative Nation, a sample of the album had been released through Pearl Jam

The artist had described his first song on the album “Time Can’t Wait” as a “hard rock stomper, but got a little psychedelic tinge at the end”. He had used inspiration from one of his main influences, Syd Barrett, to create the psychedelic tunes in the song. The song can also be heard below.
