Breaking barriers is what Steven Edison does. The Los Angeles native is better known as his stage name, Flying Lotus or FlyLo is someone who can be viewed as a Jack of all trades. He is an experimental multi-genre music producer, electronic musician, DJ, filmmaker, and rapper. An artist who pushes boundaries whether it is with his LA based record label, Brainfeeder or with his own craft. He has contributed across many avenues including Adult Swim and Cartoon Network and has showcase his work through five studio albums since 1983.
The man is already have a good year. He debuted his film, Kuso at this year’s Sundance and is about to set off a brand new tour of 3D live shows at venues all across the US. When the live shows was first debuted at this year’ FYF Festival during his set, it was met with rave reviews. Now fans can catch a better glimpse when he takes his 3D act on the road starting in October.
The new shows will begin with two nights at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. He will be joined by long time collaborator Thundercat as part of the first annual Red Bull Music Academy Festival.
