Berlin Fest hits Berlin (where else?) next weekend, and in addition to teaming up with the first annual Berlin Music Week festivities, will feature a mix of German and international music including LCD Soundsystem, Hot Chip, Gang of Four, Robyn and more.
The festival, started in 2005, has been held annually at the pre-WWII Templehof Airport, one of the biggest buildings in the world.
Festival organizers have also teamed up with organizers from the inaugural Berlin Music Week, which runs from September 6-12th this year. According to a press release, “the goal of Berlin Music Week is to invite visitors and participants to discover new Berlin club culture, experience well known bands, make business contacts and discuss current trends in the music sector. To aide in the partnering of these events, Berlin Music Week has centered much of its events at the Tempelhof Airport.”
