VUUR debuts their new album ‘Days Go By – London’ with an album track video and digital release and have shared their first song (which is unnamed ) the first since the Dutch vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen announced the formation of this new progressive metal group.
With a classic hard rock sound, high pitched and fast paced guitar strums and lingering and light vocals from Giersbergen, the new song could be an introduction to the sound and style of VUUR. Giersbergen explains the inspirations behind the new album being the cities that she has visited while touring. The new song is specifically about The Great Fire that occurred in London in 1666.
“The lyrics are written from the perspective of the element of Fire, threatening Londoners to wipe them out, but the song is also about hope,”Giersbergen said. “Even in the darkest of times, the sun will rise.”
VUUR is also scheduled to begin playing live this summer and are also planned to serve as main support to EPICA in later 2017.
