Bay Area Product and rapper P-Lo is heading to the Regency Ballroom this summer. He will be playing the Regency on July 7th alongside performer Rexx Life Raj.
Rapper and founding member of the Bay Area rap collective, HBK Gang, P-Lo has made a name for himself in the Bay. He is also a member of the product team, The Invasion. The most recent release from the rapper was his 2013 album MBMGC 2. That album is known for the songs Outta Here, Going To Work, and This My Shit. That album features a ton of his HBK members like IamSu and Sage The Gemini. He also dropped an EP in 2016 entitled Before Anything and that album carries the hits Light This Bitch Up, which features star G-Eazy and Jay Ant, Say You Will, and In That. Previous to that the rapper has two other solo albums and a collab album, Moovie!, with his fellow HBK member Kool John in 2015. P-Lo is a part of one of the most diverse and interesting hip hop collectives in recent, times he’s even got a Buzzfeed article devoted to him calling him the “Swaggy Filipino Rap Has Been Waiting For” (it’s three years old… give it a break with the use of “swaggy”). He’s music is influenced by his Bay area roots and it’s just mad good. His raps are good, solid, and catchy.
Fans of E-40, IamSu!, and Sage The Gemini will be down for this show, hell, just come out to support a Bay Area boy. P-Lo and his crew are gonna be the new face of rap. They are diverse, talented, and got some good connections (Hey Kehlani and G-Eazy!). Grab some time out of your summer and catch this show while you can!
