Rapper, songwriter and producer CyHi The Prynce, who worked with Kayne West on some songs, has recently released a new single called “Nu Africa”, his first single since 2015, which was released through Brooklyn Knights/Sony RAL. Along with this, the artist is working on releasing his album called No Dope on Sundays, which will be out out over the summer.
The song was produced by S1 and Epikh Pro and also co-produced by Mark Byrd. According to the press release, the song’s lyrics focuses on the politically and racial situation that has been going on with the recent news in the United States. In the lyrics, the artist mentions different stereotypes and mentions different artists and people that have changed the world in some form such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Barack Obama.
The song brings a combination of CyHi’s signature styles with his well known boom bap influences and raw energy. The song has a repeated tone with different electronic beats mixed together and different back up voices supporting the artist’s voice. The song can be listened to below.
