There was unfortunate news that lead bassist of the Canadian Metal band Kittie, Trish Doan died at just age 31 Yesterday. The band has stated that it was like losing a member of their family and they are going to struggle to move on from this horrendous loss. The band has discussed that the bassist has dealt with depression and eating disorders for while and they asked for people’s continued privacy during this rough time.
Back in 2006, MXDWN reported how they had just made a deal to work on two new projects. Although this seems like just yesterday, in 2008 Trish quit the band to deal with her eating disorder and her battle with depression. People who knew Trish claimed that she was one of the nicest and most down to earth people that they had ever met and the metal community as well as those who knew her, are deeply saddened by her loss.
This band has been known as a metal band of confident and powerful female women who loved to have fun on stage. As the band had reported, they were like a family and even when Doan quit the band, they continued to look out for her and her best interests. The band appreciates all the love and support and continues to hope that you respect them and what they choose to share while they deal with the loss. They hope that you can continue to enjoy and appreciate metal music and they will do there best to continue on without a piece of their hearts.
