Hard Rock and Heavy Metal fans get excited. Live Nation just announced the creation of Las Rageous a two day music festival located in Las Vegas on Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd. Premiering two stages over two square blocks in downtown Las Vegas, Las Rageous features headliners Godsmack, Coheed and Cambria, Anthrax, Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, and Mastodon including many more listed below.
This is a big move for the rock community and especially Las Vegas to not only create a new hard rock and heavy metal oriented festival of this caliber but bring it to a city that has always whole heartedly supported the genres. Amanda Moore of Live Nation explained, “Bringing an annual rock festival to this city has been a dream ever since we opened the Live Nation Las Vegas office. Rock and metal music have a rich history here in Sin City; from the bands it has fostered, to its wild and loyal fans, to KOMP – one of the oldest and most respected rock stations in the country.”
Anthrax, Friday’s headliner, frontman Charlie Benante said , “We are looking forward to playing the Las Rageous festival, planning on making this first-time festival memorable.” While Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin, Saturdays headliner, added, “We’re really excited to be a part of Las Rageous in April. We love playing Vegas and are looking forward to being a part of this new festival.”
The festival has announced it only has 10,000 tickets available which is a good and bad thing for fans, on onside it offers an intake live experience with some of the biggest names in hard dock and heavy metal, on the other side limited tickets means many hopeful rock fans won’t get the chance to go. People determined to get get a ticket and go can find pre-sale available Thursday (Feb 2nd) at 10 am here. Superfans who need more security in their opportunity to attend can obtain pretty-sale passwords by signing up for the Las Rageous email list here.
