Legendary rock band Foreigner will perform at Chicago’s Northerly Island this August as part of their 40th Anniversary Tour. Foreigner is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time with their most popular hit being “I Want To Know What Love Is”; other recognizable hits are “Hot Blooded” and “Juke Box Hero”. The band has gone through a lot of lineup changes throughout their years of touring and recording having been active since the 70’s.
Foreigner will be joined by Rockford natives Cheap Trick. Cheap Trick’s hits like “I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender” are still regularly played on the radio today. The band hasn’t altered their pop-rock sound since the 70’s and have been touring small festivals for years. They’re currently going what some have called a renaissance as they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame soon after the release of the band’s seventh studio album in April of last year. Titled Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello. The album comes seven years since their last release.
