Danish indie rock twosome The Raveonettes, consisting of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo, have announced their eighth studio album called Atomized set to be released three days after Valentines Day. You can pick up a hard copy of the ablum on April 21 for CD, and on the 22 for those looking to add to their vinyl collection. The album will contain the entire track list from “RAVE-SOUND-OF-THE-MONTH,” a project where the Raveonettes released a brand new song every last Friday of the month throughout the entire duration of 2016. The band has released a couple of music videos for tracks off the album, including “Junko Ozawa” and “Excuses”.
The album prior to The Raveonettes’ 2016 monthy venture, Pe’ahi released in 2014, surprised fans and those in the music industry due to the band’s lack of usual album promotion. Pe’ahi was a response to the death of Sune Rose Wagner’s father and was highly influenced by the Southern California surf culture they surrounded themselves with. The album snagged a spot on the US Billboard 200 list and topped the US Billboard of Independent Albums list.
That same year The Raveonettes played their fare share of festivals, appearing on the lineup for Mid Point Music Festival and Desert Daze Music Festival.
