Electronic music producer, Sango, has garnered notable success in the past few years–a blending of hip hop instrumentals alongside afro funk beats have proven the young producer to be a stand out in the electronic music scene. In preparation of his upcoming album (In the Comfort Of), Sango will embark on a North American tour on January 26th, which kicks off in his hometown of Seattle, Washington.
From Brazilian Funk to chillwave and R&B, the Seattle producer covers a wide array of genres in his tracks, and is always looking for ways to innovate. Sango’s musical influence stems from his mother and grandfather–who put him on to drumming, marking the start of his beat making days. His music has been embraced in South America as well, and has allowed him to tour across Brazil. Despite his fervent use of Portuguese samples in his songs, Sango retains a strong fan base in the US. His popularity has landed him spots at numerous music festivals, including Brooklyn’s Afropunk fest, and more recently, the inaugural Mala Luna fest in San Antonio.
Sango’s funky, hip hop infused electronic music, has awarded fans from all over. You can see him perform at Empire Control Room on February 8th.
