Nouvelle Vague is seriously, seriously rad. Especially if one out there reading this (one writer’s attempt to stay clear of first and second person directives) appreciates the here and near works of bossa-nova, new-wave covers. Which, interestingly enough, Nouvelle Vague translates to new-wave in French— of the same era most of the band’s cover songs derive from— and to the portuguese derivative of “bossa nova”, which also, now so obviously, translates to new wave, as well.
But, semantics and syntactics aside, the french collective/cover band led by Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin has announced a whole slew of North American, winter 2017 tour dates. The news comes following the recent release of the album I Could Be Happy out on KWAIDAN RECORDS / !K7. And, interestingly enough, the record features…wait for it…ORIGINAL songs, written by band-members. Take a ticket, for all in line are blushing.
