VIMIC is a collective heavy metal revival group consisting of former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, former Scar the Martyr members Jed Simon (guitar), Kyle Kinkiel (bass guitar), Matt Tarach (keyboard), as well as vocalist Kalen Chase and guitarist Kris Norris. They have recently announced their partnership with CTK Management along with the dates of their upcoming tour, which will kick off in Jordison’s hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, followed by a short domestic run expected to touch down in Janesville, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois before heading overseas to visit Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. The international tour dates have yet to be officially announced, but their known late 2016 domestic tour dates are as follows:
Jordison says, “The band members have just arrived to my home in Des Moines, and the energy and vibe is absolutely magnetic. We are ready to bring back our music, showcase our new live shows to the masses, and show our appreciation to the fans who got us here and supported us in the first place. That’s what matters, the fans!!! It’s been a struggle, but we’ve overcome it and are ready to unleash. Thank you to all who have believed in us, have patiently waited, and continue to stand by our side. We’ll see you soon! Get ready.”
The band’s debut album, titled Open Your Omen, which will be released through Roadrunner Records, has been marked tardy since it was due this year, but the band is promising its release sometime in early 2017. Their debut single from the album, titled “My Fate”, gives fans a fast-paced and familiar-sounding taste of what they are anxiously awaiting. The song is available for streaming and purchase on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, and Spotify. Check out the official music video below.
