Ten years is a decent amount of time and also one that will always be an important number to the band Graveyard. Ten years marks the life of the Swedish band since its members have now announced the breakup of the band. In 2006, the hard rock album Innocence and Decadence was released by them and now, in 2016, they are throwing in the towel. However, the leave their music and their fan base with a bitter sweet message, saying that they’ll be gone but who knows if they’ll be gone for good or not.
In a recent statement, Graveyard cited “differences within the band” as a reason for departure. A story of personal struggles and life circumstances has seemingly wearied the band down to a point of nothing more else to do than to end its run and focus on other issues. Utter speculation and guesswork are the only means to explain this sudden move of the band but the fact remains; Graveyard has expired. Henceforth, their touring has been cancelled.
However, the band, true to their resolute attitude and sound, ended with their announcement, stating that it is not permitted to write off a reuniting of the band. “Stay tuned” and “stay awesome” Graveyard let their fans know at the end of the bitter sweet announcement. As said, it is utter guesswork to know if the hard rocking band will be back in full force ever, but it is true to the fact that they are gone for now and potentially forever.
