Swedish band Cult Of Luna has teamed up with Gojira’s frontman Joe Duplantier for their dark new single “Sadness Will Reign.” The song follows their previously released singles “The Rift,” “A Way Back” and “In The Shadow Of Your Shadow.” The latter serves as the title track of their forthcoming album of the same name which is set to arrive on November 6 via RED CRK Recordings.
Speaking on the collaboration, Johannes Persson offered, “What I like about Joe is that he has a very particular voice. I think it’s one of the reasons why Gojira stands out as the metal giants that they are. It has its own unique character and would stand out even if you put him next to a hundred or a thousand other vocalists.”
The band is currently set to perform at Damnation Festival in Manchester, UK on November 7 in support of the new record. They are also scheduled to hit the road on their own headlining trek early next year. The European and UK tour will kick off with a show at Les Docks in Lausanne, Switzerland on February 26. Along the way, they will be stopping in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Poland. The tour will come to an end with a concert at Archa in Prague, Czech Republic on March 13.
