Christine and the Queens is officially entering a new era, and the first taste of what’s coming is here. The French artist has released a brand-new single, “Rendez-vous avec toi” / “Rendez-vous in Your Arms,” available in both French and English. The track is the first preview of an upcoming album expected to arrive next spring. Built around an upbeat, disco-inspired groove, “Rendez-vous avec toi” feels like the kind of song that instantly pulls you onto the dance floor. It’s energetic, romantic, and full of emotion, exploring themes of desire, tenderness, and the excitement of reconnecting with someone you can’t stop thinking about. There’s something nostalgic about it, but at the same time, it feels like a fresh direction for Christine and the Queens.
The release also comes with a visually striking music video, filmed in Paris and co-directed by Christine and the Queens alongside Raphaël De Albuquerque. Featuring choreography by Alexander Ekman, the video puts movement and dance at the center, bringing the song’s energy and emotion to life. Alongside the new music, Christine and the Queens has announced a series of intimate live shows across Europe this December. The artist will be taking the stage in Brussels, London, Amsterdam, and Paris, performing alongside longtime collaborators Vincent Taeger, Vincent Taurelle, Adrian Edeline, and Karl Onibuje.
The shows are already sold out, which makes the announcement even more exciting. Designed to bring the artist closer to audiences, the performances will revisit fan-favorite tracks while also giving fans an early listen to unreleased music from the upcoming album. Speaking about the shows, Christine shared how important it was to reconnect with audiences through live music before making a bigger return. Describing the performances as some of the most meaningful moments of their life, they explained that the intention was to create something intimate, personal, and centered around the shared experience of music. That same feeling seems to run through the new single.
In a poetic statement about the track, Christine describes it as a musical celebration shaped by late-night inspiration, New York jazz, Giorgio Moroder-inspired grooves, and the excitement of finding someone again. There’s also a bigger message behind the song, touching on connection, identity, freedom, and the kind of electricity between people that can’t always be explained. It’s a reminder of what makes Christine and the Queens such an interesting artist. Throughout their career, they’ve never been afraid to experiment, reinvent themselves, or blur the lines between music, dance, and performance. Every new project feels like its own world, and “Rendez-vous avec toi” is already giving us a glimpse into the next one. With a new album on the way next spring and these sold-out shows marking the beginning of the comeback, Christine and the Queens are setting the stage for another exciting chapter.
