Tobias Forge Of Ghost Reportedly Set To Revive Death Metal Band Repugnant For 2027 Show In Stockholm

According to Louder Sound, Ghost frontman Tobias Forge is  on the verge of announcing a Repugnant reunion show to the wider world? Some fans on Reddit and Facebook seem to think there is one happening next April in Sweden. The artist may be on hiatus from all things Ghost-related this year but that is not to say he has ruled out all musical activity.

In an interview with Global News earlier this year, Forge suggested that, while he is spending more time with his family and his to-do list has not diminished in the slightest. “Creatively, I have a lot to do,” he explained. “I’m actually recording currently, but it’s not a covers EP and it’s not a new Ghost record.” Perhaps the recording is of material from his old death metal band Repugnant, which formed in 1998 and officially disbanded in 2004, and briefly reuniting in 2010. They released one album, Epitome Of Darkness, to little fanfare in 2006.

“I don’t know if we were good enough or whatever,” Tobias later told Loudwire of Repugnant. “Now, knowing a lot of the things that is required, how many stars that need to align and all the decisions you have to make, I can definitely look back on myself as a 21-year-old and quickly see why I didn’t achieve that with Repugnant. I wasn’t mature. I wasn’t thinking. I wasn’t there yet.”
